Young farmers urged to muster at Future Flock Forum before Lambex 2016

Sheep Central, July 26, 2016

Future Farmers Network logo July 2016YOUNG farmers will get an up-to-date industry snapshot before the 2016 Lambex conference at the Future Flock Forum on August 10.

Future Farmers Network chairman Dan Korff said the forum will give young people at the Lambex conference an outline what role bodies such as Meat & Livestock Australia, the Sheepmeat Council of Australia and the FFN play in the industry, including others presenting at the event.

Future Flock Forum participants will also get tips on how to get the most out of Lambex.

“It will give them a bit of familiarisation with the big players in the industry and is an opportunity for those not as well connected to get to know each other before the conference.”

The forum will be run along a casual format with a full program available before the event, he said.

Presentations will be made by MLA, the SCA and the head of Westpac’s Australian Financial Service’s agribusiness head Susan Bower.

The SCA, MLA and the Future Farmers Network invite young sheepmeat industry enthusiasts to get together before LambEx at the Future Flock Forum at 2.30-5.15pm on August 10, before the official LambEx welcome reception, at the Albury Club, 519 Kiewa Street, Albury.

Numbers are limited. RSVP essential, register here.
