WOOLGROWERS will get some insights into wool market trends and industry issues at a Techwool Trading information night in Hamilton, Victoria, this Friday.

The event organised by one of Australia’s largest wool buyers and exporters will feature guest speakers TWT export trading manager Josh Lamb and Hamilton district woolgrower Peter Small.

TWT Hamilton store manager Phil Schultz said Mr Lamb will speak about the various wool marketing options including developing direct links with an exporter. He will also outline how international currencies can affect the wool market and exporting.

China’s internal issues and their effects on the wool market, and an overview of the industry for the next two years, will also be outlined by Mr Lamb. He or other Techwool Trading staff will also give some feedback on the recent Nanjing conference in China, Mr Schultz said.

Mr Small has been invited to speak about Australian Wool Innovation’s Wool Selling Systems Review, and give his views on WoolPoll 2015 and AWI programs. Mr Lamb will also outline Techwool Trading’s submission to the review.

The information night will be held on September 25 at the Hamilton Golf Club at 170 Rippon Road from  7-9pm. Woolgrowers are asked to RSVP with Phil Schulz on 0409 557 336 or [email protected]
