Rainfall was recorded in eastern New South Wales, southeast Queensland, Victoria, western Tasmania, southern South Australia and southwest Western Australia.
At the start of the week, a complex low pressure system located over the southern Coral Sea shifted south into the Tasman Sea. A a low pressure trough associated with the low developed off the New South Wales and southern Queensland coast which produced moderate to heavy falls along coastal New South Wales.
An active cold front and large cloudband with embedded thunderstorms tracked over southwest Western Australia mid-week to produce moderate rainfall totals along the southern and southwest coast of Western Australia.
The cold front continued through South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania, with light rainfall being recorded along southern South Australia, western Victoria and in the west coast of Tasmania at the end of the week
Rainfall totals over 150 mm were reported in the upper north coast of New South Wales. The highest weekly rainfall total of 241 mm was recorded at Camboyne Public School in New South Wales.
Rainfall totals between 50 mm and 150 mm were recorded in areas along the east coast of New South Wales and in coastal parts of southwest Western Australia .
Rainfall totals between 25 mm and 50 mm were recorded in eastern and northeastern New South Wales, isolated areas in southeastern Queensland, parts of western Tasmania, small areas of central Victoria and in southwest Western Australia.
Rainfall totals over 10 mm were recorded in southeastern Queensland, southern South Australia, southwest and parts of southern Western Australia, the southwest coast of Tasmania and in parts of eastern and southern New South Wales.
The Northern Territory and remaining parts of Western Australia, most of South Australia away from coastal areas, northern and eastern Victoria, eastern Tasmania, inland New South Wales and Queensland away from the southeast recorded little or no rainfall for the week.
