MOST of Australia received little to no rain during the week and a large number of Bureau of Meteorology stations had their lowest September rainfall on record.
Slow moving thunderstorms brought isolated high totals in the Northern Rivers district in New South Wales on 28 September.
Weekly rainfall totals greater than 15mm were recorded in south-west Tasmania, coastal south-west Western Australia, parts of the central and north coast of New South Wales and the south-east coast and northern tropical coast districts in Queensland.
The highest rainfall totals during the week were in New South Wales, with the highest weekly total (at a bureau gauge) of 69mm at Clunes, and the equal highest daily total of 68mm at Clunes and Rosebank, in the 24 hours to 9am on 29 September.
