SEVERAL cold fronts crossed the south-west of Western Australia, Tasmania and southern Victoria during the week bringing showers.
Easterly on-shore airflow brought showers to parts of the east coast and adjacent land areas.
Weekly totals greater than 15 mm were recorded in the south-west of Western Australia, much of Tasmania and in north-east Queensland. In western Tasmania weekly rainfall totals were above 50 mm, including an area with weekly totals above 100 mm.
The highest weekly total at a Bureau of Meteorology gauge of 197 mm was recorded at Mount Read, Tasmania; the highest daily total at a bureau gauge during the week of 48 mm was recorded at Topaz Alert, Queensland, in the 24 hours to 9am on 15 July.
Most of Australia received little to no rain during the week.
