VOCAL rural advocate and Keep The Sheep supporter, Western Australian producer Jack Carmody will be the keynote speaker at the annual GroWQ Innovation Expo in Longreach Queensland this month.

Jack Carmody is a renowned advocate for rural and outback communities, a dynamic content creator, and a reluctant politician. As the creator of the popular YouTube channel “Jack Out The Back,” he has offered a captivating and insightful look into the challenges and triumphs of living and working in remote Western Australia.

Jack’s expertise in leveraging technology for remote living, his innovative approaches to agriculture, and his commitment to environmental sustainability have made him an ideal keynote speaker for the GroWQ Innovation Expo. His presentations are known for their practical insights, motivational storytelling, and actionable advice, all of which are rooted in his real-world experiences.

The annual GroWQ Innovation Expo is returning this July offering landholders a glimpse into the latest innovations and their practical applications. Last year, the expo attracted 180 landholders from across Queensland and more are expected to show up this year.

The event is organised by GroWQ, a not-for-profit member-based group supporting agribusiness in western Queensland. Itwill run on Thursday, 25 July, with a demonstration morning following on Friday, 26 July, at the Longreach Showgrounds.

This year’s expo promises to showcase cutting-edge developments and practical solutions tailored for livestock producers. Highlights include:

  • Genomic Breeding Developments by Neogen: Attendees can learn about advancements in genomic breeding that promise to enhance livestock quality and productivity.
  • Drones for Livestock Mustering by SkyKelpie: A live demonstration of drones efficiently mustering livestock, showcasing the future of farm management.
