UP-AND-COMING agricultural leaders are being encouraged to apply for the 2022 Australian Rural Leadership Program.
Australian Rural Leadership Foundation chief executive Matt Linnegar said applications are encouraged from individuals committed to and ready to respond to the challenges and opportunities in regional, remote and rural Australia.
The Australian Rural Leadership Program is the flagship program of the ARLF and is the most in-depth experiential leadership development program on offer in Australia.
More than 30 diverse leaders from across rural, regional and remote Australia, come together for a series of unique and immersive experiences to develop their leadership capabilities. The program takes place over 15 months and develops the leadership practice of individuals and groups. It is focused on face-to-face experiential learning supported by online engagement and peer-to-peer mentoring. Graduates become Fellows of the ARLF upon completion of the program.
“An ARLF Fellowship provides invaluable opportunities to connect and work with a professional network of over 2,000 peers across rural, regional and remote Australia,” Mr Linnegar said.
Scholarships are generously funded through partnerships with governments, the private sector, industry organisations and the philanthropic sector and are available for individuals across a range of sectors including primary industry, agribusiness, the arts, First Nations organisations, education, policy and advocacy, health, economic development and the environment.
“Our goal is to develop leadership, so people act beyond themselves, work with others, and facilitate change in their organisations, sectors and communities,” Mr Linnegar said.
The ARLF will celebrate three decades of leadership impact in rural, regional and remote Australia this year. The ARLP will run from June 2023 to October 2024. Applications close 5 August 2022.
