SHEEP entry and scanning fees have been reduced for the 2015 Royal Melbourne Show in an effort to attract more exhibitors.

The reduced online fees are $20 per exhibit for Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria members, down from $30 last year, and $15 per exhibit for schools.

Scanning fees have been cut from $6.50 last year to $5 this year. Entry fees via mail this year are $25 for RASV members, $50 for non-members and $15 for schools, plus a $20 administration fee.

White Suffolks will be the feature breed

White Suffolks will be the feature breed at the Royal Melbourne Show this year — in recognition of the breed association’s 30th anniversary.

The judging of all breeds will take place on September 19, with the coveted interbreed awards decided on September 20 and the schools competition on September 21.

Exhibitors across all breeds will have the opportunity to win back the cost of entry and more with prize money offered in all ordinary classes.
