The non mulesed bare breech of a high follicle density Merino ewe.
SHEEP producers considering moving to a non-mulesed flock will have the opportunity to attend field days across northern Victoria over the next two weeks.
The Victorian-based “Towards NM sheep” groups are hosting two field days on “Transitioning to Non-Mulesed sheep” on 6 October at Mt Dryden, and 11 October at Mansfield.
Project leader Lisa Warn said the field days are part of a Producer Demonstration Site project funded by Meat & Livestock Australia.
Topics to be discussed and demonstrated include:
Producer experiences managing non-mulesed sheep
Breeding flystrike resistant sheep
Managing worms and dag
Tools to help you develop your plan to move to and maintain your flock as NM
Breech wrinkle scoring demonstration
MLA PDS results
