Nominations sought for Australian Wool Industry Medal

2017 Australian Wool Industry Medal winners were Nan Allison, Peter Morgan and Sally Martin.

WOOL industry stakeholders have about two weeks to get their nominations in for worthy recipient of the 2023 Australian Wool Industry Medal.

Since 2017, Wool Industries Australia has presented 36 medals to outstanding recipients who have made an outstanding and lasting contribution to the Australian wool industry.

Medalists have been recognized from a broad range of sectors within the Australian wool industry including shearing, wool classing and testing, brokering, market reporting and analysis, exporting administration and regulation, processing education, science promotion and fashion.

Wool industry stakeholders are invited to nominate someone who has demonstrated service worthy of recognition, or made a contribution that had a significant impact in the wool industry.

Wool Industries Australia members include the Australian Council of Wool Exporters and Processors, the Australian Wool Exchange, AWH Pty Ltd, Australian Wool Innovation, the Australian Wool Testing Authority, the National Council of Wool Selling Brokers of Australia, and WoolProducers Australia.

Nominations for the 2023 Australian Wool Industry Medal will remain open until COB Friday 28 April 2023.
