AUSTRALIA’S latest tri-annual wool and sheepmeat survey is now open for producers to complete online.

The survey conducted jointly by Meat & Livestock Australia and Australian Wool Innovation has been revamped to make it easier to complete. Although the questions remain the same, MLA said the survey now has a new look, to provide an easier and more time-efficient experience for producers.

MLA said the continuing productivity improvements in the Australian sheepmeat industry highlight the importance of monitoring production and producer intentions, assisting producers to make more efficient decisions based on data and evidence. The results from this survey continue to accurately represent production trends since 2010 and provide a strong foundation for MLA’s and AWI’s industry forecasting and market information analysis.

Producers’ survey responses will be aggregated with the replies from other participants to create regional, state and national wool and sheepmeat industry data. Individual responses remain strictly confidential, MLA said.

The Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) and Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) wool and sheepmeat survey is open until October 31 2016.
