MEAT & Livestock Australia and Australian Wool Innovation are urging producers to complete the latest wool and sheep meat survey.

Producers have until June 30 2017 to complete the survey, which helps the industry bodies to predict production trends and producer intentions.

MLA said the continuing productivity improvements in the Australian wool and sheep meat industry highlight the importance of monitoring production and producer intentions, assisting producers to make more efficient decisions based on data and evidence.

The results from this survey continue to accurately represent production trends since 2010 and provide a strong foundation for MLA’s and AWI’s industry forecasting and market information analysis, MLA said.

With this in mind, MLA and AWI is asking for producers’ time and considered responses to the survey. The reliability of the industry-wide data provided to MLA and AWI increases as more producers complete the survey.

Producers’ responses will be aggregated with the replies from other participants to create regional, state and national wool and sheep meat industry data. Individual responses remain strictly confidential, MLA said.
