AS part of the launch of a new automated feedlot concept, a series of nine half-day nutrition-focussed Lot-feeding and Controlled Feeding Masterclasses will be held across New South Wales regional centres over the next month.
The masterclasses (see dates and venues below) are designed to support farmers with innovative and cost-effective ideas for lotfeeding and controlled feeding, while raising funds for the National Centre for Farmer Health.
Hosted by Advantage Feeders, innovative manufacturer of precise ration-control grain feeders since 2006, these events promises to be informative and practical. In collaboration with Coopers and Nutrimax, local farmers can learn from industry experts through hands-on sessions that inspire and educate.
The masterclasses will include industry expert guest speakers Jim Walsh and Felicity Wills from Coopers Animal Health, Ross Winfield from Nutrimax and Gerard Roney from Advantage Feeders.
All guest speakers will share their expertise on livestock nutrition, lotfeeding implementation, and controlled feeding benefits and cost savings. On each day, attendees will also enjoy a single-unit display of Advantage Feeders’ cutting-edge new 5000-head automated feedlot.
Given the challenging seasonal and market conditions, innovation is key to maximising farmers’ returns and the end consumers’ eating quality, the organisers say.
Don’t miss this invaluable opportunity to enhance your farming practices while contributing to a worthy cause!
The events will also support the National Centre for Farmer Health, to improve the health, wellbeing and safety of Australian farmers.
This regional Victoria-based partnership between Western District Health Service and Deakin University has been delivering health services, research, training and education to farming communities since 2008.
In that time it has engaged with more than 8000 farm men and women and their families.
