Latest in EID equipment and software at Bendigo showcase

SHEEP producers will be able to see the latest in electronic identification equipment and software at a showcase in Bendigo next Tuesday, June 27.

Agriculture Victoria is hosting the showcase of EID compatible equipment, software and tags at the Regional Events Centre, Bendigo Show Grounds, Holmes Road, North Bendigo from noon to 4pm.

The showcase follows on from Agriculture Victoria’s recent EID awareness and knowledge information sessions, to support sheep and goat producers transition to the EID NLIS system and adopt electronic identification technology.

Agriculture Victoria said the event is a unique opportunity for producers to talk to suppliers and inspect various equipment/ hardware that captures data and software to manage data to help make informed management decisions on-farm.

Agriculture Victoria and suppliers will make a series of short presentations from 1pm after a provided lunch served at noon. Agriculture Victoria staff will also be available to answer questions on the EID NLIS sheep and goat traceability system and requirements.

Hardware, software and tag suppliers represented at the showcase will include; Practical Systems, Shearwell, Gallagher, Data Mars, Trutest, Allflex, Sapien, Auto Med, Clipex, TePari, Aglive and Leader Products.

The showcase leads into the annual BestWool/BestLamb (BWBL) Conference Dinner that evening, followed by the BWBL conference on Wednesday June 28 in Bendigo.
