EXPERIENCED industry chairperson Robyn Clubb has succeeded Dr John Keniry as chair of the Australian Wool Exchange.
Ms Clubb has wide experience as a chairperson and director of a number of commercial and agricultural organisations.
These have included chair of the Rice Marketing Board for the state of NSW, chair of the NSW Primary Industries Ministerial Advisory Council, director and treasurer of the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW and non-executive director of Elders Limited. She also has strong links with agriculture through her family farming interests.
Ms Clubb’s appointment became effective at the conclusion of the AWEX 2016 annual general meeting on November 25 after being appointed as an AWEX director and deputy chairperson in August 2016.
Dr John Keniry AM was chairman of AWEX for six years, from 2010. During his tenure, Dr Keniry guided AWEX through some challenging issues including the ongoing funding of the internationally recognised National Wool Declaration Integrity Program. He was also an advocate of adopting technologies, including AWEX’s electronic identification wool bale project e-Bale.
