HAMILTON’S popular Sheepvention expo has confirmed it will return this year as a two-day event after a review of last year’s three-day program.
The Hamilton Pastoral and Agricultural Society has confirmed that the Sheepvention Rural Expo will return to a two-day format in 2023.
The expo at Hamilton in the state’s south-west returned last year after a two-year hiatus with a three-day program.
A society statement said following stakeholder feedback, a decision was made to host the event on Sunday and the first Monday in August this year, allowing a larger demographic of patrons to walk through the gates.
Hamilton P & A Society chairman, Will Kinghorn, also announced that David Botterill will take the reigns as Sheepvention president for the next two years, and Darren Schurmann will stand as vice president.
Mr Botterill said he was excited to have been given the opportunity.
“It’s been an extremely successful year coming back following a two year hiatus.
“I look forward to working with the committee to assist in further evolving the event in years to come,” he said.
Sheepvention Rural Expo will take place on Sunday 6th August and Monday 7th August 2023.
