VICTORIA’S Sheepvention Rural Expo will return to a two-day format next year after receiving feedback against continuing with a three-day program.

The expo at Hamilton in the state’s south-west returned after a two-year hiatus this year with a three-day program.

However, the Hamilton Pastoral and Agricultural Society confirmed today that Sheepvention Rural Expo 2023 will have a two day format.

Following stakeholder feedback, a decision was made to host the event on Sunday and the first Monday in August moving forward, allowing a larger demographic of patrons to walk through the gates, the society said it a statement today.

Hamilton P & A Society Chairman, Will Kinghorn also announced that David Botterill will take the reigns as Sheepvention president for the upcoming two years and Darren Schurmann will stand as vice president.

“I’m really excited to have been given this opportunity, it’s been an extremely successful year coming back following a two year hiatus.

“I look forward to working with the committee to assist in further evolving the event in years to come,” Mr Botterill said.

The next Sheepvention Rural Expo will take place on Sunday 6th August and Monday 7th August 2023.
