New AWI General Manager – Research Dr Jane Littlejohn

AUSTRALIAN Wool Innovation has announced its new General Manager – Research will be Dr Jane Littlejohn.

Dr Littlejohn will replace Dr Paul Swan and has previously held the role of General Manager – On Farm Research at the wool industry’s research, development and marketing body.

She returns to AWI after spending the last year managing the National Wild Dog Action Plan.

AWI chief executive officer Stuart McCullough said he was delighted to welcome back Dr Littlejohn after a thorough search for suitable candidates for the significant role. He said Dr Littlejohn was well-known to wool growers.

“She has a strong and proven track record in managing this portfolio and delivering on farm results for the wool growers we serve.”

AWI said Dr Littlejohn re-joins AWI with the company in a strong position, midway through its current Strategic Plan and the wool industry in general enjoying renewed optimism.

In congratulating Dr Littlejohn, Mr McCullough also thanked Dr Paul Swan for his 16 years of service to AWI.

“Paul is leaving the role, but not the industry.

“He is looking to change gears in life and we look forward to his expertise continuing to help drive the industry forward in other ways,” Mr McCullough said.

“He has been a highly valued member of this company for a long time and I wish him all the very best for the future,” he said.
