MORE nominations are being sought for the 2021 Australian Wool Industry Medal, but they close in two weeks.
Wool Industries Australia secretary Bianca Heaney said nominations close in two weeks on 3 May.
Ms Heaney is not concerned about the number of nominations received already.
“But we would like to have a few more come in.
“I know people have been extremely busy and it has been a really difficult year for a lot of people,” she said.
“The reminder has gone and out and hopefully we will get a few more in to make it interesting.”
The Australian Wool Industry Medal recognises men and women who have made an exceptional and sustained contribution to the Australian wool industry. People from any sector of the industry can be dominated for a medal.
Ms Heaney said anyone planning to nominate someone for a medal should ensure they have the nomination form in by close of business 3 May 2021.
Barring COVID restrictions, the plan is to award medal winners at a Wool Week event in August this year in Melbourne
