Australian Alpaca Association CEO Amanda Olthof

FORMER wool industry policy director Amanda Olthof has been appointed as chief executive officer of the Australian Alpaca Association.

An association statement today said Amanda has been appointed to drive its next phase of growth.

Amanda brings over 20 years’ experience from roles in both government and agricultural peak body associations. Most recently this has included WoolProducers Australia where she was policy director and responsible for key areas including animal health, welfare and biosecurity, the association said.

AAA president Ian Frith said the AAA board is thrilled to welcome Amanda to AAA.

“Her knowledge of stakeholder engagement and her experience across agriculture and government in leadership roles will be invaluable to AAA as we embark on our next phase of growth,” he said.

Ms Olthof said she was excited to be joining the AAA, which represented over 1000 members.

“The Australian alpaca industry is a viable and sustainable primary industry well-positioned for future growth as it expands into new markets.

“I am looking forward to leading this progress into the future,” she said.
