VICTORIA’S Bestwool/Bestlamb and BetterBeef networks will hold a series of roadshow events around the state this year rather than one central conference.
Agriculture Victoria said the 2025 Beef and Sheep Networks Roadshow will bring top industry experts to four locations across Victoria, delivering the latest insights on pastures, livestock, and farm business management.
In response to seasonal challenges, the organisers are taking a fresh approach in 2025, recognising the time and work pressures of producers feeding livestock daily through the difficult season.
Agriculture Victoria sheep and beef networks spokesman Lyndon Kubeil said producers are finding it hard to be away from their properties for too long.
“A half-day session allows them to do some feeding in the morning or afternoon and then get a half day off farm, and hopefully we can provide some support.”
Mr Kubeil said expected that the main speakers will be able to work with the topics picked six weeks ago and mould their presentations to the current situation.
“We’ve got two of the best to be able to do that in Cam Nicholson and Jason Trompf.
“They are able to flex their presentations to meet the needs of the audience at the time.”
Roadshow dates and locations
Edenhope, south-west Victoria – 28 May
Dunkeld, south-west Victoria – 29 May
Warragul, Gippsland – 3 June
Mansfield, north-east Victoria – 4 June
Agriculture Victoria said the roadshow format ensures more producers can connect, learn, and plan for the seasons ahead — without the travel commitment of a conference.
