REGISTRATIONS have opened for Australia’s flagship sheep, lamb and wool conference, LambEx26, in Adelaide from 7-10 July.
Organisers expect LambEx26 at the Adelaide Convention Centre will attract more than 2000 producers, processors, researchers and supply-chain leaders from Australia, New Zealand, and overseas.
The 2026 theme is ‘Telling Our Stories’, reflecting a sector adapting to new technologies, changing markets and stronger connections with consumers, while keeping producers at the centre of the conversation.
Confirmed LambEx26 speakers include:
Australian surfing champion – and global sporting legend – Mick Fanning talking about what it takes to perform at your best, no matter what.
Leading futurist and business thinker, Gus Balbontin will challenge the LambEx26 attendees to look at the future differently.
Respected New Zealand agribusiness analyst, Julia Jones, who will deliver her trademark real insights, straight talk and global view of agriculture.
Jess Pryles, the Queen of Texas BBQ, shows how to cook meat like you mean it – from paddock to plate.
Agricultural innovator and artificial intelligence leader, Jerome LeRay will outline how artificial intelligence is used in animal production.
The LambEx26 program will be released progressively in the lead up to the conference in July.
LambEx chair Jamie Heinrich said the program has been built around real-world experience and practical relevance.
“LambEx26 brings together people who understand the realities of working across the sheep, lamb and wool supply chain, while also weaving in speakers who provide new ideas, fresh perspectives and a different way of thinking about the future.
“The event is also about connection – bringing people together to learn from one another, build networks and takeaway insights that open new opportunities within their businesses,” he said.
A program snapshot is available now, with further high-profile speakers, industry and leadership breakfast sessions, innovation showcases and popular events to be announced soon.
Lambex26 will also include the popular AMPC Carcase Showcase, the Coles Trailblazers program and the Elders Grandslamb Gala Dinner.
LambEx26 will also continue beyond the Adelaide Convention Centre on Friday 10 July with a new initiative LambEx On Tour – offering seven curated tours for delegates to choose from.
The tours will showcase South Australian innovation, production systems, supply chain leadership, regional stories, culture, flavour and craftsmanship.

Just another gravy train for all concerned, precious few with skin in the game.
I can see that they have spent a lot of money on speakers, but none with much in the way of substance.
As a farmer, I think I can get better value staying at home and listening to a podcast.
