2015-7-29-rainfall-mapSome of the best falls during the past week were received in the Pilbara and southwest of Western Australia and parts of eastern Victoria, southern NSW and a pocket of norhtern NSW stretching into southern Queensland.

Rainfall totals between 50 mm and 100 mm were recorded in the Victorian Alps and the Snowy Mountains in New South Wales, pockets of northern New South Wales and adjacent southern Queensland, and an isolated area of the north tropical coast of Queensland. Totals in excess of 100 mm were recorded in northwestern Tasmania, with totals greater than 50 mm more broadly across western Tasmania. The highest weekly total was 156 mm at Falls Creek (Rocky Valley), in the Victorian Alps.

Rainfall totals between 10 mm and 50 mm were recorded in the southwest of Western Australia as well as the Pilbara and northern Gascoyne districts; also in central Australia and the southern coastline of South Australia. Similar totals were recorded in western, central and northeastern parts of Victoria; also large parts of southern, central and northern New South Wales, as well as southern and coastal Queensland.

Most of the Northern Territory, northern and western Queensland, western New South Wales, northern South Australia, and remaining parts of Western Australia received little or no rainfall this week.
