Search is on for top livestock and property agency images

Sheep Central, August 4, 2023

ALPA is again seeking the top photographs from its members for its 2023 competition.

AGENTS who think they are handy with a camera have just two weeks to get their entries into the 2023 Australian Livestock and Property Agents Association photography competition.

The annual competition asks entrants to capture images that reflect what the stock and station agency profession means to them.

The deadline for photos is 5pm Friday 18 August 2023.

The competition wants entrants to share that remarkable photo that reflects the life of an agent. It might be taken across the paddocks, at saleyards, a shearing shed, sheep or cattle yards, mustering, drafting pens, transporting, the main street, a wool sale, as long as it is agency-related.

Entrants are not restricted to just one photo and can send as many into the national competition as they wish, but they must be their own work.

To enter the ALPA photo competition, email captioned photos into a nominated category, with the subject “ALPA photo comp” to [email protected] and follow the terms and conditions for a chance to win.

All photo finalists will have their images featured in the 2023 ALPA Annual Report.

The prizes for the competition categories include:

  • Stock category – livestock related images $50 gift voucher
  • Station category – rural scenes $50 gift voucher
  • Agent category – life of an agent $100 gift voucher

The overall winner will receive an additional $300 gift voucher. All gift vouchers to be spent with an ALPA supporter: Akubra, Allflex, Inglis Est 1867, Quadrant AgTours or RM Williams.

All entries of high resolution images must be accompanied with the photographer’s name, the category, an image title, an ALPA member business name and the entrant’s contact details. If these details are not provided the entry will not be accepted.

All photos submitted must be from an ALPA member. The photos must be the work of the photographer and owner of the copyright of any image submitted.

All entrants acknowledge that any photos submitted for entry into the competition become the property of ALPA and may be used for future marketing/advertising purposes.

The photos will be judged by an independent selection panel appointed by ALPA.

The ALPA photograph finalists will be announced in September, on completion of the ALPA Annual Report.
