EXPORT lamb processors have followed South Australian-based operator Thomas Foods International to release autumn-winter forward contracts for 2018.

Earlier this month TFI released forward lamb contracts valuing crossbreds at 620-660c/kg and Merinos at 590-630c/kg for 2018 autumn and winter delivery to its plants in Lobethal, South Australia and Tamworth in New South Wales..

The Australian Lamb Company followed this with an April-July 2018 contract valuing 18-32kg crossbred and Dorper lambs at 620-650c/kg for delivery to its Colac plant in Victoria.

The ALC contract values 32.1-36kg crossbred and Dorper lambs at 570-600c/kg and 36.1kg-plus lambs at 520-5550c/kg. Merino and SAMM lambs are 40c/kg less than the crossbred and Dorper prices at the respective weight ranges during the contract period. Laughter priority will be given to Meat Standards Australia-accredited consignments.

The JBS Australia April-July 2018 lamb contract for delivery to plants at Brooklyn in Victoria and Bordertown in South Australia, has priced farm assured 18.1-26kg crossbred and Dorper lambs at 620-660c/kg and heavier 26.1-32kg FA crossbreds and Dorpers at 610-650c/kg.

The JBS contract for non-farm assured lambs prices 18.1-26kg and 26.1-32kg crossbreds and Dorpers at 610-650c/kg. The non-farm assured Merino and Dohne lambs are valued at 580-620c/kg curing the delivery period.
