Graham Centre sheep forum has lamb survival, production and reproduction focus

GrahamCentreLAMB survival, reproduction and production will feature at the Graham Centre for Agricultural Innovation’s annual sheep forum on July 8.

The forum at the Charles Sturt University Convention Centre in Wagga Wagga will include a presentation from CSU’s Lucinda Watt on using second generation annual, hard-seeded pasture legumes to ‘meat’ lamb production targets in the southern Australian mixed farming zone.

CSU’s Susan Robertson will outline management to improve lamb survival and Lockhart producer Tim Westblade will present a case study on improving lamb survival on-farm.

Shawn McGrath for CSU’s Fred Morley Centre will compare the cost of hitting lifetime ewe targets in scanned and un-scanned Merino flocks.
