AGRICULTURE Victoria has invited sheep meat and wool producers to a dry winter webinar series to help them manage the dry conditions.
The first webinar in the series – ‘Importance of nutrition’ – with veterinary consultant Dr Jillian Kelly was held today, but all webinars are being recorded for later access.
The ‘Early weaning of lambs’ webinar will be held on Wednesday 17 July from 12:30-1:30 pm with Dynamic Ag livestock consultant Dr Steve Cotton speaking on managing early weaning on lambs and management of ewes and lambs for good weaning outcomes.
The third webinar on ‘Land management, sacrifice paddocks and stock containment areas’ will be held on Wednesday 24 July from 12:30-1:30pm. Agriculture Victoria’s Clem Sturmfels will cover land management, sacrifice paddocks and stock containment areas in the webinar.
The sessions will run for about an hour with a chance to answer some questions at the end. Webinars will be recorded.
